Despite the adverse weather conditions in the Atlantic crossing, Team SEL delivered all cars and equipment to “Circuit Of The Americas” COTA Austin, Texas, for the inaugural Hankook 24hr Race.
On November 8, 2017, as scheduled, all teams got access to the containers and could place all their materials in their pit boxes.
Transport Operations included:
- 35 cars, 25 containers and over 140 tons of spare parts and equipment from ports of Rotterdam, Antwerp and La Spezia
- 10 tons shipped by air freight
- All cargo was routed via Houston this week and transported to the Austin circuit
- On Sunday evening, right after the competition, SEL team loaded 28 containers and managed all outbound operations with destinations of Jebel Ali, Rotterdam and Southampton.
“Our objective is to make the journey to our race destinations as smooth as possible for the teams and our sponsors, and SEL has been a great support. We wish for quick load out operation for our teams returning back to Europe or on to Dubai” said Ivo Breukers, CEO of Creventic.
“We are really pleased to have supported Creventic in this first event in the USA. We have jointly planned the services, and managed the inbound activities on time. ” said Matthew Clarke, Managing Director, SEL.
Hankook 24H COTA USA, the first event of the series held in the USA, took place over November 10,11,12, 2017, was the “finale grande” of an action-packed season in the CREVENTIC SERIES powered by Hankook.
Next stop: UAE, 12,13,14 of January for the Hankook 24H Dubai, opening event of the 2018 season.
